Valencia offers a wide variety of cultural activities such
as lectures, concerts, festivals and museums. Visits and
activities will be organized throughout the summer. These
activities will enable students to enjoy full access to
Spanish cultural treasures and to engage in social relations
with a variety of students and scholars of Spain.
During the school term, several Saturday excursions to nearby
places have been planned as described in the program. These
excursions will be free of any extra charge. Optional trips
besides the scheduled excursions will be arranged (at cost) to
Palma de Mallorca, Barcelona, Andorra, etc. In March Valencia
celebrates the festival of the Fallas. And for those who like
swimming and sunbathing, several beaches along the
Mediterranean seashore offer a special attraction.
Lodging And Meals
During the school term lodging and three daily meals will
be provided in private homes. Families who usually receive
foreign students as boarders in their homes live in apartments
or flats. Families and accommodation have been carefully
reviewed and approved by our director of housing (rooms are
double occupancy). All homes are located close to public
transportation so that both the school and the center of town
can easily be reached.
